The way we work across the TUI Group is changing. Our goal is to be a truly integrated global travel company, digitally empowered, utilising the same platforms and processes to deliver the most competitive, innovative and desired holiday experience for our customers. The creation of a centralised Inflight Service (IFS) team will enable a harmonisation in Inflight (on-board and pre-order) Retail activities and processes across the five TUI Airlines and thereby maximise profits by applying best practice to all Retail operations. The main purpose of this role is to provide support in relation to Inflight Retail (“IFR”) and Supply Chain (“IFSC”) finance across the Inflight Service (IFS) function together with organising the business case review and approval process for Northern Region, Aviation and Hotel Accommodation Purchasing. As a member of the Inflight Service team, and working closely with One Aviation Inflight Supply Chain, you will support the transition of all five TUI Airlines to the One Aviation model. What you will be doing As Commercial Finance Analyst for Inflight Retail & Inflight Supply Chain your role will cover the entire end to end process from procuring pre-order and on-board retail products to managing the supply chain cost base. As such, you will be involved in a wide range of financial activities including five year planning, forecasting, and month-end reporting, and implementing 3-way reconciliation between reported sales, stock and customer payments. Key commercial analysis will include profitability analysis on both products and use of space to ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time to drive sales, taking into account the varying routes and times of our flights. You will then need to interpret this financial data to communicate recommendations to the business. Working with finance teams in all five airlines you will create greater alignment in policies and practices, providing a consolidated financial platform on which the IFS leadership team can make sound and balanced commercial decisions in the best interests of the Group. The IFS finance role requires the analysis of the consolidated retail & supply chain P&L across the five source markets participating in the programme. Through regular liaison with key stakeholders, you’ll develop the required management information tools to continually assess performance vs. the baseline, which underpins performance, as well as performance vs budget, closely monitoring risks and opportunities across the programme, whilst continuously seeking prospects for further improvement in performance. You will also manage overhead recharges together with the reporting and 5 Year Planning process for the central IFR team on a monthly basis. Throughout, you will support the IFSC function in reviewing savings and contract proposals together with ensuring that approved initiatives are aligned with the Source Market P&Ls on a monthly basis. You will also provide finance support for critical IFR and IFSC IT activities including Vector deployment and improvements.
