Early Years Centre Manager

Job Description Based in one of our Early Years Provisions, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Interviews will be held week beginning 18 March 2019. As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete an online behavioural questionnaire. This questionnaire measures how you would think or behave in the job role and your profile results will be matched against pre-determined criteria established for the job role. The link will be sent to you following the closing date with a deadline for submission. Requirements You will have a BA in Childhood Practice. Responsibilities You will manage and co-ordinate the day to day running of the Early Years Establishment on behalf of the Head Teacher. The Individual You will have proven experience in a range of early years establishments, working with parents/carers, of implementing suitable programmes of learning experiences for children, cross agency/sector working and leading a team. You will also have excellent organisational and management skills. You will be able to undertake variable shift patterns, use your own initiative, have good communication, interpersonal, ICT and administrative skills, be able to work under pressure and develop positive professional relationships. You will be enthusiastic, committed, approachable, reliable, flexible, adaptable and have an understanding of confidentiality. You will also be able to evidence continuous professional development. You must be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
