I am a 21 year old young man who has an acquired brain injury. I enjoy socialising and writing and recording music. My goals are to attend the Gym on a regular basis and also to develop skills to gain employment and to attend community groups. I am looking for someone who will be willing to learn and understand brain injury and the challenges I face. A person who has a good sense of humour and fun but will help me focus on my recovery, someone who is enthusiastic with very good motivational skills. Quarriers Renfrewshire Head Injury are now recruiting for Project Workers on a relief basis to provide a holistic service for adults living with the effects of brain injury and their families and carers. The service offers a range of support and development opportunities designed to recognise the potential of the individual and to increase their ability to live as full, independent and integrated a life as possible within the local community. Quarriers have Investors in People Platinum accreditation and are one of only two social care organisations in Scotland to have this prestigious award. We are also an accredited Scottish Living Wage employer and pay sleepover hours at £8.75 per hour. The successful candidate will be providing the best support, security and safety for young people and/or care to the families of those supported by the project. You must ensure that you register in the appropriate category within 6 months of starting in post. After registration, there is a requirement to be qualified within 3 years. You should also have relevant social care qualifications such as SVQ Level 3 or a Higher National Certificate in a course in a social care setting.
