The role of the Digital Quality Manager is to define and deliver a UAT strategy which protects the integrity of current services whilst enabling speed to market for new and enhanced functionality; future-proofing the need for quality assurance within an environment of continuous integration and delivery. The individual will manage User and Business Acceptance test coverage for all new deliverables and changes to current functionality across a wide range of applications and digital platforms for the Distribution and Cruise division. Collaborating with Digital Services and Operations, you will deliver against strategic goals, communicate change and prioritise issues within a large e-Commerce function. What you will be doing As the Digital Quality Manager you will manage the User Acceptance Test Leads responsible for the UA/Business testing across a wide range of changes driven by Product Owners within the BAU development teams, as well as projects driven by various business areas. This includes close resource and capacity planning, co-ordinating with Cruise & Distribution teams and other divisions such as IT, to ensure sufficient manual and automated test coverage is in place in order to achieve UAT sign-off. You will define the overall UAT Strategy; actively working with multiple Business and IT stakeholders to champion the role of UAT, ensuring early and full engagement in the SDLC to enable the optimisation of the customer journey through a constant and stable programme of change, whilst ensuring conversion is both protected and enriched. Driving compliance of aligned formats, processes and prioritisation for test case and defect management will be key to the productivity of your team; guaranteeing regular test execution and defect reports in line with Stakeholder management, as well as Test Strategy documents which detail environment and data setup requirements to enable the necessary test approach. Following successful execution and sign-off within a test environment, you will be required to provide approval for implementation into Production; having received assurance that the delivered change meets the specified business need, and relevant stakeholders fully understand the impact, risk and mitigation associated to accepted defects. Forming part of our e-Commerce Division, you will need to have an understanding of multiple departmental functions such as SEO, Merchandising, Digital Analytics and Site Optimisation in order to support business-user test coverage for changes which may impact these teams. You will look for new and innovative means through people, process and technology, to drive the continuous improvement of current ways of working; increasing quality and output whilst aiming to reduce costs. What we are looking for An ambitious individual with a good understanding of e-Commerce development, who is passionate about delivering a best-in-class digital customer experience and will drive quality-assured, customer-centric change. Proven experience within a test management role – good knowledge of data structures, algorithms and data-driven testing methodology Hands-on experience and knowledge of software automation techniques, frameworks and latest industry trends. ISTQB certified. Knowledge of development/project life cycle and experience in a range of testing methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall. Basic understanding of mobile application frameworks and testing, in addition to mobile browser technologies. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities; correlating value of change against commercial and customer impact in a demanding, time-critical role and work comfortably within an environment of ambiguity and a high degree of complexity. Clear ability to engage and manage stakeholders – influencing behaviour and changing opinions based on business knowledge and competence. Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a great attention to detail and appreciation of auditing and reporting capability. Willingness to work flexible hours (the successful candidate may be required to work early mornings to support Production go-live implementation).
